This mixed-media relief investigates structural failure and trauma through the literal deconstruction of the figurative form. Fractured clay segments, capturing an expression of acute distress, are isolated and distributed across a dark, charred wooden substrate. Rather than presenting a fluid narrative, the work focuses on the physical gaps between the shards. The volatile textures of the pit-fired ceramic merge with the burnt surface of the wood, transforming the immediate scream into a cold, permanent landscape of fragmentation and systemic undoing.
