The Protected Space operates as a harsh existential irony, confronting the violent exposure of what should have been an impenetrable sanctuary. Created in 2024, the sculpture processing a devastating personal undoing and a national catastrophe . It directly echoes both the structural horror of a reinforced apartment safe room (MAMAD) breached by fire, and the absolute destruction of the artist’s inner, domestic refuge following a profound betrayal by his own siblings.
